A matte painting that I wanted to do as a personal project as a bit of a homage to Ghost in the Shell. This was developed as an animated/3D matte painting – the video will be along shortly.

Approximately 12 hours to complete the project (matte painting, 3D projections and compositing) for final 5 second video. As a result, it's by no means perfect, but as an excercise in projections it turned out quite well.

This was a piece that I did over a weekend, based on an idea that was floating around in my head for a while. I just liked the idea of a tree growing within a massive building, protected.
